My favorite SSH application for Windows was spotted on the hit Fox show Prison Break. Michael Scofield, Sara Tancredy and Lincoln Burrows were huddled around a PC laptop listening to an audio recording and when the program was closed I noticed the putty icon sitting on the desktop.

I don’t use Putty as often now that my main machine is a Mac, but when in Windows I always use it.

That’s funny because most TV shows use “fake” OSs and Software. Good to see someone using a legitimate computer with actual applications … even if it is Windows.

My favourite use of fake computers has to be 24. In addition to the false OS that somehow creates a visual for everything, I love how satellites and cameras have infinite resolution.

I couldn’t agree more. You will also see this in movies that have “custom OS’s”. What is really weird is 24 has MacBook Pro’s all throughout but you will never see OS X.
