Adobe has released AIR Public Beta 3
Beta 3 for Mac OS X | Windows
From those who don’t know:
Adobe® AIR™ is a cross-operating system runtime that allows web application developers to use their existing web development skills (HTML, Javascript, Adobe Flash®, Adobe Flex™, Ajax) to build and deploy rich Internet applications to the desktop.
I will post more once I install it and give it a good overview.
JetBlue has recently announced a beta service they are offering on select planes. This service “BetaBlue” is wireless im and email from 10,000 feet. Basically you can email and use IM (live and yahoo) from the comfort of your seat and any wireless smartphone or laptop.
At this time they don’t offer “surfing” but being this is beta I guess it could be coming next.
I look forward to trying this FREE service out when I take a trip to Florida next year.
Quick note to those AIR developers out there.
Adobe AIR beta 1 will expire on Dec 11, which is next Tuesday in case you aren’t in front of a calendar
Also, it is very important to mention that AIR 1.0 will NOT have an expiration date.. once it is released.
That is all the news I have for now, I will post anything else that I hear.
Getting advanced copies of music has never been a problem because of torrents and other means, but this is the first time I have seen iTunes with an advanced copy.
The latest Armin van Buuren is slated for a December 4th release, but I was just able to pick up the complete CD on iTunes tonight (Dec. 1st).
It even shows a release date of the 4th, but lets you buy all of the individual tracks or the complete CD.

I hope this sort of system continues for other music, it would be pretty useful and got me to buy a CD I wasn’t planning on for a week.
