Adobe has released BlazeDS which is the server-based Java remoting and web messaging technology.
It will enable developers to easily connect to server distributed data and push data to Adobe® Flex™ and Adobe AIR™ applications to create a more responsive RIA.
This is a big step forward in the world of AMF, which on that note, Adobe has also published the AMF3 spec.
It will be interesting to see how these new announcements affect existing tools, such as AMFPHP.
Adobe has released AIR Public Beta 3
Beta 3 for Mac OS X | Windows
From those who don’t know:
Adobe® AIR™ is a cross-operating system runtime that allows web application developers to use their existing web development skills (HTML, Javascript, Adobe Flash®, Adobe Flex™, Ajax) to build and deploy rich Internet applications to the desktop.
I will post more once I install it and give it a good overview.
Quick note to those AIR developers out there.
Adobe AIR beta 1 will expire on Dec 11, which is next Tuesday in case you aren’t in front of a calendar
Also, it is very important to mention that AIR 1.0 will NOT have an expiration date.. once it is released.
That is all the news I have for now, I will post anything else that I hear.
TheCodeTrip is an upcoming Microsoft tour to promote and give developers a chance to learn about Silverlight.
The touring idea may be fresh in your brain from the previous Adobe AIR Tour earlier this year.
At the moment TheCodeTrip.com is looking for ideas, so if you have some, submit them!

Just noticed the posting over at Mike Chambers blog. Adobe has released a new (and I hope final) version of the AIR logo.
I actually like the concept behind it and it really sits nicely on the desktop. Now all they need is some stickers for my MacBook Pro to show AIR love.
