Update: Colin Smith of PhotoshopCafe has just posted a detailed overview of Lightroom 2.
Just in time for PhotoshopWorld in Orlando, Adobe has released a public beta for Adobe Lightroom 2. This new version really has a lot of great features to offer, which include advanced filtering, better photoshop integration and faster importing/storing.

The coolest and most advanced feature would have to be localized adjustments. I have only started to touch on this feature since I downloaded it, but let me just say it is both amazing and super useful.
I will be giving Lightroom 2 (LR2) a run in the real world this week while I am on a pretty amazing photography trip, which I will be sure to blog about in depth when I return. Also, if you happen to be at PhotoshopWorld this week head on over to PhotoshopCafe’s booth where you can pick up some Lightroom, Photoshop and Flash video training.
Note: I will not be blogging for about 2 weeks starting Friday, but will return with new stuff.
Adobe has announced AIR for Linux in a pre-alpha release on the Adobe Labs. Personally I think this is a great step for AIR and brings truth that Adobe knows what true cross-platform really is.
I was just sent a link from Wiley to the web site for my upcoming book. You can pre-order the book as well as find out more information about it. Also, for the first time, here is the cover. It is interesting to see your name on a picture of the cover of the book, I can only imagine what it feels like to see it in person.

Once the book is released (in May) I will post a more in depth overview, as well as take the time to thank the group of people that made this all possible.
Also, before I forget about it, PhotoshopWorld is fast approaching but there is still time to register. I do not gain any advantage to letting you know about the show, just know first-hand it is a great event with many awesome people.
Adobe has released AIR and Flex 3, you can read more about it over at scriptplayground.com.
PhotoshopCafe has just released a new training DVD on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. This DVD is packed with 80 clips of important tips, tricks and techniques. The running time for this new DVD is over 7 hours but don’t let the size scare you, there isn’t one point where the information is stale or “filler content”.
